Pet Health & Behavior Requirements:
To ensure the safety and comfort of all pets in my care:
- Pets must be friendly with dogs & people
- Dogs must be house trained and fully outdoor potty trained (unless otherwise approved)
- All pets must be free of contagious illnesses or parasites
- Pets must be current on all required vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella — proof required)
- Pets must be on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
- Pets with aggressive behavior must be disclosed and approved in advance
- I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services for pets that pose a safety risk or cause significant disruption.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
- All pets must be dropped off and picked up at the scheduled times agreed upon prior to their stay. Scheduled time slots allow me to provide a calm, structured environment and give each pup the attention they deserve.
- A late fee will apply if arrival is more than 15 minutes past your scheduled time. If you arrive outside of your reserved window, drop-off or pick-up may need to be rescheduled for the next available time when I am available.
- Any changes must be communicated in advance and approved.
Vaccination and Preventative Care Requirements:
- All pets must be up-to-date on Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP, and flea/tick prevention. Bordetella vaccinations must be administered at least 10 days prior to your pet’s stay to ensure the vaccine is active.
Spay/Neuter Policy:
- Pets are not required to be spayed or neutered to stay. However, I cannot accommodate females in heat. If a female pet comes into heat during their stay, an additional fee of $15/day will apply. Unneutered male fee is $45/day.
Personal Items:
- The only required item for your pet’s stay is their food. However, you are welcome to provide additional items, such as bedding, toys, or treats, to help your pet feel at home. Please note that I am not responsible for any damage to your pet’s personal belongings.
Illness or Injury Liability:
- Although pets are closely monitored during their stay, I am not responsible for any illness or injury that may occur. Owners are responsible for all liability, assumed risks of boarding and expenses related to their pet’s health, including medical care or treatment.
Booking and Payment Policy:
- All bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total booking fee to secure your pet’s spot. The remaining balance is due before drop-off.
- A full refund of your deposit is available when cancellations are made at least 7 days prior to your scheduled reservation.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of your reservation are non-refundable, as that time has been reserved exclusively for your pup and it may be difficult to rebook on short notice.
Assumption of Risk:
- I understand that participation in doggy daycare and overnight boarding may involve risks such as minor injuries, illness, scuffles during play, anxiety-related behaviors, or accidents. I acknowledge that even with attentive care and supervision, not all incidents can be prevented.
- I voluntarily assume responsibility for any risks associated with my dog’s participation, including overnight stays.
Release of Liability:
- To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, I agree to release and hold harmless Trusty Paws Pet Care, its owner(s), family members, employees, and representatives from any claims or expenses related to my dog’s participation in daycare or overnight boarding, including minor injuries, illness, emergency veterinary care, loss or escape, overnight incidents, or stress-related conditions.
- This release does not apply to gross negligence or intentional misconduct as defined under Florida law.
Overnight Boarding Care:
- I understand that overnight boarding includes evening and morning routines and supervised rest periods. Dogs may sleep in designated sleeping areas and may be around other dogs unless otherwise requested and approved.
- I acknowledge that overnight stays may involve additional stress or adjustment and accept responsibility for any resulting behaviors or conditions.
Veterinary Care Authorization:
- In the event my dog becomes ill or injured and I cannot be reached, I authorize Trusty Paws Pet Care to obtain veterinary care as deemed necessary. I understand that all veterinary expenses are my responsibility.
Indemnification:
- I agree to be financially responsible for any damage or injury caused by my dog to other dogs, people, or property while in daycare or overnight boarding and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trusty Paws Pet Care from such claims.
